Views on boot build layout please!!

Been busy this afternoon!

Started off with this

and then made a false floor and a box from scratch

But wondering which layout is better

or

or could also hide the amp easily.

opinions please!

Have you done all the calculations on box size or just built a box that fits the boot?! :S

(not saying you're silly, just asking LoL)

You could recess the amp into the floor and have a perspex cover over the top of it so you could still put stuff in the boot?

If you do that you need to think about cooling the amp though...

We use 12v mini fans to cool the amps.

Box is built to correct cubic feet yes, just fits the boot well

Done this a few times with good results^^

IMO the amp in front of the sub in the middle of boot, sunk in with perspex and a few hidden blue neons

Yeah as Dave has said the box is for the right volume (hoppefully!!) and its a snug fit in the boot! Not got much space to play with at all.

Having it sunk in under perspex does appeal but done it before! Its either that or hide it altogether but i think its quite a good looking amp so wouldnt mind itbeing on show.

I also plan to put sides onto the box to reach the sides which would look more complete imo.

Any more suggestion/comments are more than welcome!

Its all about the symmetry baby. Maybe you could tilt the amp forwards a little bit using a hidden step?

Dont know if theres enough room to tilt it forwards! Already made the box a bit higher than i intended to just so the sub would fit in it without hitting the second false floor.

But yeah think thats how I'll do it. Just a bit similar to my old boot build I guess

White16valver << agree with him..slot out the floor with a wee step in it wo it sits forward. parspex over the top with if u can a few clean drilled holes in it..and a few 12 mini computer style fanes..i hooked mine up the the amp with a distrubution block about 5quid or use block onnectiors so when your amp comes on they switch on too and it looks trick.. symetry is the best rather than havin a bit here and a bit there..at least to with it centered you can add to it if you feel the urge too. more subs, speakers,amps, ps2's , t.vs wotever. gives you room to play rather than starting from scratch again.

Yeah thats how I've always had my fans wired up, saves draining the battery when you forget to switch them off!

naw mate it looks gd if u done it yersel mate good job..i work as a joiner by trade and even i dont wanna try do another for mine its tooo bloody awkward tryin to build one id like.,..lol mite just pay sumwhere else to do this one and stand back and laugh as they look at what they ar gettin dropped in their lap to fit in a clio boot.pmsl

£60 sound ok, plus postage? Not too sure how much they go for but I feel thats reasonable seeing as its a sub amp and box! Will double check one of my mates doesnt want it as shes hinted that she might!

paul, yeah me and Djw Dave do pretty much everything to our cars from putting in a set of speakers to a volvo turbo lump!!

the boot space in clio's suck realy bad there is no way i can fit both my amp's in the boot. And i can only fit 1 x 15 inch sub in a ported box or 2 in a sealed box. Bit gutted realy. But will the new sub fit the Vibe sub box ?

The Vibe is getting sold, you a bit slow ALi?! The box with an Alpine sub on it, has an alpine sub in it! And the new partially built box is for the Alpine sub!!

Clio has loads of space compared to my car (megane coupe!)
