vinyling engine bay

Car  2008 Clio 1.2 TCE
My fiend was saying that it is possible to vinyl engine cover and battery cover? i was just wondering if anyone knew if it is? Would the glue not melt with the heat off engine?

i would have thought that the heat would of made the edges of the vinyl peel back and make it look tatty but if he dont mind that then yeah, it can be done.

it is possible to wrap the engine cover in vinyl yes. whether it will last depends on what the actual temperatures get to in there. a good cast vinyl wrapping film can withstand temperatures up to maybe 150degrees before it starts to bubble/melt. i wouldnt have thought the temps get that high in the engine bay although i may be wrong.
