Well the Superhub 3 has arrived, so far it hasn't crashed in modem mode, that's a plus point.
But "the PUMA6 bug" is terrible and it would seem that Intel & Arris cannot fix it.

I should say that I have no contention issues here and always get a nice solid speed and can max out the connection, the "peak time bump" you can clearly see on the 2ac plot but it's invisible on the 3 plot because the latency is so bad all the time.
Surely there has to be a 3b version in the works because anybody playing games on this (and they sell gamer connections which incidentally you have to have a SH3 to activate) is going get frustrated very quickly.
