virgin media torrents?

Car  ?
have they blocked torrents?

Whenever i start a torrent my net slows as if im downloading at full speed but the torrent is only downloading at about 0.1kb/s and same for upload...

Any other VM customers notice this?

Ive not got this problem, are you using the virgin broadband firewall advisor thing??

Mine was causing problems so I uninstalled and put mcafee on and not had a problem since.

No, no firewall ... only recent thing i have put on my pc is a wireless card. Maybe if i switch back to ethernet? because i have experianced some general slowdowns with wireless.

im with VM, my torrents aregoing at lovely speeds 100k/b + (most ive had as of yet is 500k/b )but my net browsing is a little sluggish.

Seems ok now. the problem seems very intermittant. First i thought it could be spyware, but ive checked the usual suspects.

suprised this hasnt been locked. Last time i mentioned to**ents i got a 2 point infraction.

Hi

If you have set up your wireless well the port forwarding may be blocked, open uTorrent and look at the bottom bar (in the middle) , if you have a yellow triangle click it and it will help you more.

hi, ive just started getting into this torrent lark. I use utorrent and im on tiscali upto 8mb (but i get about 4mb).

i used to download torrents no problem, getting a 1gb file downloaded in a couple of hours if left during the night, but now its taking hours and hours to down load a 80mb file?! is there any way to speed things up or has it anything to do with tiscali?

on utorrent i check the logger info and it says failed hash check? whats that mean?
