vivita cameras? URGENT HELP REQ

hi everyone have the chance of getting the vivita camera which is 10.1mp at a very good price they seem to look nice have a great mp spec and have ok digital and optical zoom? am i mising something are they really really shite!! currently on tesco website for 169.95!!!

any help please cheers i want one for my holiday etc

Dont bother, won't be any better than a decent branded 5-6MP.

Don't be fooled by the MP rating of cameras, it's all about the lens and the processing within the camera.

That would be my advice.

The Canon PowerShot A560 Digital Camera on that site for near enough the same price will serve you much better.

i think they mean that it is 10MP but they are s**t pixels (if you know what i mean)

i've got a nice canon ixus 65 which is only 6MP but gives very good pics

vivitar are not good at all,unless you buy from a reputable dealer who will happily give you a refund if it breaks, then i wouldnt buy as vivitar dont have a repair facility!

bugger thats a shame will keep my eyes on other stuff i really would like the casio exil with 10.1 mp looks gorgeous and have heard they are quite good

for good deals check out hotukdeals.com cameras come up a lot, Ally got a £400 Digital SLR for £250 on Saturday thanks to it.

ive got a vivitar camera! it's ok, i'm not a big photo taker tho! if you want a chep camera for some simple pic it will do the job fine!

but it was alot cheper then that

no its a ViviCam 5340s ive had it years tho! its 5mp! pics are to big to put on here with out resizing them i think! i'll email you them but like i said its an older one so will not be able to tell how good the new ones are!

like i said its good enough for the job i want!

edit- the digital zoom is crap, i just use the normal zoom and if i want it closer i do it on the computer

cheers everyone just wanted to update you that i have gone with the casio 7mp camera like the 10mp i wanted but got a very good price..camera, leather case, docking bay for recharge and 512 sd card for 129.99 delivered!!! thanks again cant wait to get it want to get some pics of my car on this forum also will help when selling anything
