VOB and IFO files

How do I get this into mpeg format? I tried a few converters but they will only let you convert so much free! so any other completely free ways to do it?

Vob files are dvd files (which are mpeg2 by their nature)

What's the reason for converting them?

I wanna edit the dvd in movie maker which doesnt support these files? just a novice!

The vob file on the DVD's are mpegs renamed,

Change the *.VOB extension to *.MPG
