Warning Lights when Driving Hard, 182.

Car  RenaultSport clio 182
A couple of times in the last week, i have been driving hard (over 6000 revs) and my handbrake and STOP lights have lit up. The car was fully warmed and had been over 6000k revs previously in the trip. The car is in its warrenty still but how would i describe it to renault? It does it very randomly, its also just had its 12000 mile service. Anyone help?

Ive had the same problem mate, not all the time but the lights flicker. I get it mainly when im giving it some, on a fav corner of mine.

It feels like your pulling G the cars cornering that hard. I thought it may have been due to oil starvation? I aint no mechanic though.

Just had the problem of my Oil light coming on, took it to Renault and 3 garages told me it would be a faulty sensor but couldnt check for weeks! (Very helpful)

Took it to a mates garage and it turns out the wire was hanging loose from the harness and was earthing on the power steering when the engine was being reved.

Aparently it is a common problem on french cars? Id check to make sure your wires are not earthing as moine were.

Your handbrake light is also the "brake fluid low" warning. You're probably cornering at a fair pace at 6000rpm+ and the brake fluid is being tipped off the sensor. Check your brake fluid, probably needs topping up. The level drops as your pads wear.

mine did that for a while and did worry me a bit, only done it round long bends aswell!!
I found tho that when i had the tracking done (as it was out) it stopped completely and hasn't happened since!!

weird...

Cheers guys, sound advice. I reckon the brakes pads are on there way. Think i'll change them shortly. It has happened on bends and when under plemty of G. Thanks Again.:)
