Just thought i would post up as i have just had a really bad issue when replacing my rear brakes.
Recently got the clio and noticed that the rear brakes were getting badly worn.
So go to local motor factors to get me some replacement parts, and get a shock when realise they need rear bearing as well as discs.
Renault wanted £180 for the pair of rear discs, which is a lot for a set of solid discs, so bought a set of bearings discs and pads.
These cost mea round £90. go to get them fitted all is well.
30 miles later, hear a disturbing grinding noise, so i go bakc to the garage.
Turns out that the bearing were shagged on both sides and there was nearly a inch of movement in the wheels.
So i now have no car and going to have to buy bloosy reno ones.
Turns out other people have had the same problem, so the moral of the story is please buy good quality rear discs and bearings and my wheels would have fallen off had i have just kept on driving.
Anyone else had similar experience of shite quality rear bearings?
