Warning to new cup owner

Ive just found out that the dealership that bought back my Cup has just sold it again after near 2 months.

I got rid of the car because it has/had numerouse faults that Renault Uk are unable to put right. The dealer has told me that the car has had no work on it since it was returned by me.........

If you are the one who is looking to buy LS52 XXC from the Enfield area then please think again. This is not sour grapes.......and this is not anything against CUPs, theyre fantastic cars to drive but just make sure you get a good one, which mine wasnt.

Good anyway

Rattly front suspension when turning at any speed, slipping clutch (normally going into 3rd gear), clonking when braking.

All the usual complaints that seem to affect most cups.

Personally I think that if Renault cannot fix this problem (front suspension) then the cars shouldnt be on the road, they obviously dont know what the real problem is and dont know what real affect it could have in an emergency/accident.

If something is rattling/knocking and it wasnt designed to do that, then it is causing some undue stress or wear on a component or components that were perhaps not designed to take it.

If my car had not had this fault, then I would have kept it for a lot longer than I did, but unfortunatly, its an unknown quantity on how safe these cars are......I hope it doesnt cost somebody dearly before Renault get their arse in gear and get it sorted

Yes, Did write to Renault UK about the suspension thing who said that Renault France are looking for a solution but assured me that the car was safe to drive, how they could do that when they dont know what the problem is I dont know......

And yes I did use Renault Enfield, who in them selves were very helpful and understanding but had their hands tied by Renault UK.

Jay (formally Jaycup) ;)
