I just recently bought my clio and it seems my alloy/s might be warped does anyone recommend anywhere in the edinburgh area to get them repaired and possibly refurbed?
Some wheel refurbers can straighten them but it will cost about the same as buying new ones. It may be just the tyre that is not fitted straight, you can take the suspect wheel to a any tyre fitter to be balanced and he will soon see if the wheel itself is warped. Should cost about £2.50 per wheel to check.
Thanks for the advice guys, hav been trying to find a second hand replacement but having no luck waiting on a call back for a repair quote so fingers crossed it can b done.. I had one of the wheels checked a month ago when the tyre went down, a friend took it to farmers and they said it was warped and quoted me £96 per wheel to repair, I just went to national and got a tyre put on it and they said nothing was wrong with the wheel but its dropping upto 20 psi every day and im soon going to b onto its third new tyre in 2 months
i was going to start a similat thread so sorry for the slight hijack
I bought speedlines at the weekend and upon getting them home i noticed 2 of them had tiny flat spots (1" - 2"), I straightened them out best i could. On the car they doo feel like they need balanced but there isnt any major wobble or anything. Peoples views?
