Warranty Question

hi all,

just read in another thread, someone said something about transferring the warranty over. Is that right? does it have to be changed over or does it just follow the car and nothing needs to be done to transfer it from the previous owner to me ?
Also does anything need to be done to transfer the AA cover or does that just follow the car?

any ideas? :S

The warranty stays with the car, not the owner, so as long as its done less than 60K, less than 3 years old, and has been through its services at correct intervals, there should be no issue. I bought my car as an ex-demo, warranty fine, and also had to get AA out once when she wouldn't start for love nor money. Also, the AA cover is for the car, phone the number and quote your reg...job done.

Hope that helps and Welcome to CS ;)

not sure about Reno, but with Ford, the guy that bought my car had to pay £30 or something for the admin charges, suppose it depends if you buy private or from a dealer

As Donnyo says , the warranty is for the car , as is Renault AA assistance , 3 years for both . If you need any info , or to put your mind at rest you can call Renault customers services on :

If its an extended Renault waranty then it does need to be transfered. If the car is still within its 3 yr warranty then do not think it needs to be transfered.
