was bored this afternoon, RS de-badged and painted upper grill...

the the upper grill had faded and gone a bluey grey colour

wasnt happy with the finish and still looked dull so here's the paint i used and what i resprayed it with

also painted the front diamond

the satin black paint matched rear enough perfectly to the fog surround and well happy with the colour,

might to pick off n repaint as the bumper paint had a rubbery finish to it and hasnt taken to the plastic as well as i thought and i think it may start to peal but ill cross that bridge when i come to it, and just primer it and repaint satin black.

When ive de badged i used a body filler spreader then a caramel wheel to get rid of the left over glue

That side has no fixing holes. Only the 'Clio' badge has.

Ph1 bootlids have them on the 'Renault' badge, too.

The grill looks excellent, i have been thinking about doing mine for a while now. Not a fan of just de-badging the renault sport side though, it's either both badges or non at all for me

yeah, looks alright tho. problem is with the clio badge has pins, so holes in the boot so it'll need filling and painting n id rather spend my money on other things. if i had any money!

free mod's is what its all about!

Looks quality mate would do it to mine buy as chris sais PH1 has pins both sides so just the sport will be comming off

You painted it on the car, would it not have been easier to take it off to do? Which paint did you use in the end, satin black?

I did all mine at once. Makes a massive difference doesnt it.

Yeah did it on car as I couldn't get the grill off. I just masked it all off. Yeah used satin black in the end.

Yeah gunna do the fogs n splitter but again will have to be done on the car. Dunno how am gunna paint the middle grill coz from my understanding u have to take the bumper off to get it off n I don't have the tools to lift the car up n undo all the bolts etc

It would have taken longer to mask than taken it off, not a hnice way of doing it at all.
Get the lower grille and the fog covers done.

Oh and a new style renault sport badge as the rear looks a little bare.
