Washer Balls

Can anyone tell me how i know if my washer balls are missing?

Dont mean to sound thick but ive only had my 172 sport (02) for a couple of months, heard alot about this problem but never checked?

The washers on the lights have like a slit in the top of them, is this where the balls go? does it cause any problems if they are missing?

Any help would be most appreciated....

no mate basicall if the balls there,you will beable to see it,coz if its not there will be a round socket where it should be.If youve no balls,it will squirt water out forwards instead of on the light.quite handy for squirting cars infront....apparently

the bit where the slit is the washer ball if its not there all you see is like a cup (not the slow blue ones) it just means you cant wash your lights and people look at you funny

So how do they work, aparantly they only squirt once every couple of times you do your windscreen?

They only squirt (oooeerr) if you have your headlights on when you go to clean your windscreen.

if u can see the slit, you washer balls are still in. Both mine have come out, for the third time!!!!!!!!!!!
