Watching something that's been recorded on a V+ box at another house

I've recorded the Help for Heroes concert last weekend on the V+ box however my parents would like to see it and I haven of transferring the program to DVD ...

Is it possible to just take the box and plug it into their tv to watch recorded programs or would they need to have Virgin too?

Most probably a daft question but would be good to know!

Pretty sure the box will error without the Virgin cable plugged in, take yours out and try it.
