Water leak in car?

I noticed the boot carpet is damp in the corner by drivers side light?

Any ideas? Didnt happen in the last car.

lift up the rear seat and see if its got a puddle under it on the passengers side, if so then its the rear window washer pipe thats leaking, seen a few of them do it, just remove the plastic pannel between the rear window and rear side window(bit the seatbelt comes out) and reconnect the pipe.

no puddles under there already checked. Its just at this one corner.

could be rearf light cluster not been put bk in correctly after bulb change?! they have habit of not sealing up properly, take it out and when u put it back make sure it goes in nicely, if u have to force it it wont seal properly!

Water can be a b4stard to trace . Could be what Martin says , rear wash wipe . Could be a leaking rear window or the black grommets on inside the tailgate when you lift the hatch .Also check under the rear seats , water can find its way under there as well . I had the same problem on my 172 and was gonna remove the grommets , silicone them back in , but i sold the car before i got round to it .

rear washer could be disconnected where it joins the spoiler, does the rear washer work?

eather that or what sash_clio_girl said, the rear cluster. although mine has a habit of blowing the light fuse when you screw the rear passengers side cluster in to tight and then my n/s lights anddashboard lights dont work!

Whats the reason for the grommets ?

is that not the bit the boot light switch pushes against to turn it on and off? (just a guess?)

^^^ I haven't a clue mate . Could be something to do with manufacturing process of the car ?? Hence they needed to fill the 2 holes with grommets .
