Hey guys, just been getting alot of annoying calls recently and the thing that anoys me most is its the same company that keeps ringing up about our phones bills being cheaper and another one about our mortgage! How do I stop them from calling? I've heard that there is a website that I can put my home number onto to stop them calling me...?

Well technically that should, and to be honest we've probably had 1 or 2 in like 4 years :)

Due to the government legislation stated on that site, I think if you're on the list and a company calls you, you cna get them in the s**t.

I had it when Tele2 called me, gaev them a bollocking saying I was on the TPS and the guy on the phone had no idea what it was. Mailed them saying did they want incorporate telling people about this in their training program and they said they already did and were very sorry to call!

Re: Harassment by telephone

Dear Sirs

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.

I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.

I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.

Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded.

Yours faithfully,
