Websites that don't appear correctly in Firefox

  172 Cup
Mates got to compare/contrast I.E and FF, Opera, Maxthon, etc for college course.

Has anyone got an examples of websites that work perfectly in IE but not in the other browsers.

All the examples I've come up with have be fixed.

Cheers chaps.

Si that works for me!?!?

Found Asda.co.uk doesn't like FF much either.

FF is good one minute, crap the next on this CS forum. Never had any issues with IE6, though the IE7 Beta threw its toys right out of the pram.

Yep, working on a site now. Tested it in FF and it's just a blue screen. Uses FrontPage extensions...

forget frontpage mate, its crap :)

To fix your problem you need to edit you 'style1.css' stylesheet slighty.

div.bottom{

background: 100% #99CCFF;
line-height: 20px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 1px 0px;
position: absolute;
text-align: center;
width: 100%;
height: 20px; <--add this. there was no height attribute, hence the whole screen being blue
z-index: 3;
left: 2px;
bottom: 1px;
color: #FFFFFF;
top: 156px;
background-color: #99CCFF;

}

Haha! Who's Norma and what's a "Sex Press"?

Might want to register it with a hyphon and use that instead. Notice how experts-exchange.com has one... ;)

None of the Microsoft Live sites work well with anything than Microsoft but I think they've caught onto the fact the need to change it as Live Mail has better support now.

http://www.normasexpress.co.uk/ - Doesn't work in Opera.

My horde webmail doesn't work very well either, icons are all over the place (Opera again).

companies should really test cross browser support! looking at my stats on sites iv done the majority use FF, IE6 and Opera (god knows why Opera)

its not difficult to test them, and does the site a world of good! whos gonna buy anything from a crappy site that looks messed up in FF.

To be fair though IE still rules the roost. I have Anayltics running on 5 sites and i'd say IE has about 90% of the market. So much for Firefox taking over!

yeh it is for sure, but the reason its most popular is because people just use it due to it being part of Windows, and probably dont even know about other browsers, or if they do, dont want to change over to them as they are not used to the way they work (or cos they cant be arsed to switch)

people that are clued up use better browsers, and benefit greatly from them! :)

Also a hell of a lot of folk browse the net at work, and IE is usually the default browser, no others are allowed due to their it policy not allowing software to be installed, etc!
