weird folder question

hi guys,

I have a 1tb western digital hardrive in my pc that contains only one folder with 490 films (backups which is 440gb.

now when i open this folder and want to arrange them by date imported or size or whatever.. I would have to open the folder wait 5 mins or so, and only then can i change the arrangement.

i appreciate it is a lot of data, but anyway to speed this up!? (i have defragged the drive if that helps lol)

with yer "backup films " are they in some sort of mpeg ect so windows shows thumbnails or just folder icons?

Turn off thumbnails...

Probably just because its such a big drive. I would have got 2x 500gb drives instead.

Thats what i did for my backups.
