Weird noise under braking just now

I just came to a junction to press my brakes and although they worked, I felt a dodgy feeling through my foot and an audible "knock" noise. Wondering what this is? And is it dangerous?

Although just came back from my tracking being done and it's always done this but when accelerating it's pulling to the right a little bit like torque steer? Is this normal? Was doing it before tracking, that's all spot on now. Has new inner tie rods and outer track rod ends.

Thanks :)

Something simple like worn pads/warped discs perhaps?

My pads are low and the discs do need replacing but i'm not sure how this would make it appear to torque steer to the right? But i'm wondering what the noise actually was, interesting haha

Abs kicking in?

I'm not sure, i've noticed it has done once or twice under light braking. I've just actually had a gander at the reluctor ring and it's filthy with grease in the grooves from when the CV boot clip came off. Could this affect performance despite it being a magnet / metal on metal action.

I'll clean it up asap when I get home from work tomorrow of course. Just wondering.

Clean the grease off the abs rings to start with mate

Also if its pulling/grabbing, you may have a sticking front caliper
