Clio Mk2 Ph2
hi all, new to the forums and ive checked through but found nothing on the topic....
i have a y reg clio and only 48000 miles on the clock and up until late everything was fine, however recenly i have noticed a weird sound which i can only describe as tyre rubbing... i have checked and i have the standard wheels and tyres that come from renault and i also checked the tyre for wear but nothing.
when i drive and my foot is on the accelarator everything is fine however as soon as i left it off completely i get this rubbing sound, accelarete and it goes, but, if i dip the clutch when im rolling and dont rev the sound isnt there, as soon as the clutch comes out again i get this rubbing sound if im not accelrating, so this leades me to think its something to do with the gearbox or clutch, however im not a mechanic and dont really have a wide knowledge so i was hoping someone here could help before i take it to get looked at and find myself with a massive bill for jus a regualr check...
many thanks and sorry for the long post,
ps, thought it was the brakes at first so put a new set on (cant be them)
