welding the steering colum.

is this 2 sort out any free play in the steering? i hear about ppl doign this just never knew why!

Yup, there are bushes at the bottom off the column which wear down causing the play, the joint can be welded to fix this permanently, if u want pics/more info see

You have to run your welding samples by Fred first to make sure you pass. Your then allowed to work on your own car.

Yep,its an easy job.I even managed it with my old Arc welder.

weld all the way round.

what you find is the remainder of the bush will melt....meaning massive play. so fully weld the uj to the shaft.
