fit a s/s system up to my original cat - and i just cant get a good enough seal between the two, you can feel gasses puffing out on your hand, and when i put my foot down just a little bit it sounds GASH. my local tire place had a quick go but it didnt do anything. and now its doing my head in lol.

do i go to a proper garage to get it sorted - or has anyone got a quick fix?

thanks everyone,

dave.

silly question but did you use a new gasket?

if so and it still leaks then just put some exhaust paste on both the mating faces. that will sort it.

IMO it's better to use flange sealant than paste. It stands temps up to 350 degrees and is flexible. You can buy it from Halfords and it is made by Loctite.

hmm a new gasket and some flange paste is in order. someone also suggested having the 2 welded together but im not up for that lol.
