Not sure, doesnt look like there is any water evidence in the surrounding area. Have you checked the cap? It could have a split in it?

mine looked a bit like that, only not quite as wet

Just been and had a good look and wiped some of the muck off. It is a lot wetter than I would expect and how the hell the top of the cap gets like that I dont know.

The level is fine though so Ill see how I get on tomorrow.

Mine was the same. Tightened up cap and ok now.

Wash off with brake cleaner then rinse with plenty of water.

As long as cap is tight water wont get in when you rinse it.

if its the brake fluid leaking make sure you dont get it on any of the other parts, as it will corrode them. My boot linear has is slowly disepearing because of the brake fluid thats leaking lol

Lee, strangely mine used to do this frequently. I put it down to condensation that builds up on it and obviously grub and dirt must flick up there.

Id clean it off once a week and it would be back within a few days. I even changed my entire brake fluid and ensured all my levels were spot on and it didnt solve it.

I just got to live with it in the end. )
