what are those pointy things under 182 lights?

Car  clio 182
hi just wondering ehat the pointy things are under 182 front lights. they look like jets to clean them but thers bo button for them that i can find. can u remove them and have the flat square things ontop like previous clio sports?

Washer jets.

They seem to come on every other time i clean the windscreen, You can remove them but the blanks are more expensive than the actual jets.

Last time I looked I seem to remember the jets cost £13 from renault and the blanks cost something like £60? of course there's always second hand though.

Have you got Xenons?

They should only work when your lights are on and if you dont have xenons then you should have had blanks instead.

I put the megane ones on my car as they are slightly smaller and still spray the head lights

thanks for all the answers, its a 182 cup, its got xenons, dont no weva these have been put on or if ther standard. they look like big pointy black mumma nipples so i think i might try nd remove them and replace them for the flat ones. are they hard to remove? cheers

I'm sure a model of the non sport ph2 came with xenons without washer jets fitted, so I'm sure it will pass an MOT. I think it's more to do with testing the washer jets if they are fitted.

when you remove them surely i will need to seal up the water suply lines to it, is ther an easy way? also wer can i get my hands on dome of thes flat caps to replace the jets?

i had them disconnected on mine. i disconnected the pump and in the n/s wheel arch looped the 2 lines together.

i dont think you have a 182 cup. you have cup packs if you have xenons fitted at time of mot the washers need to work.

I've just checked his other threads and it says he has a Black 182 Cup. Which is not a cup but cup packed. So your washer jets better stay on the car as I'm sure they are compulsory for the MOT if you have Xenons.

not sure tbth. what u sayin? ive got a 182 with both cup packs but its not a cup? im not totaly clued up so im not takin the piss im just askin ha. whats the difference in a 182 cup and a 182 that has both cup packs? cheers for ur help, il just leave them on if its gona fail its mot or just give the garage my best smile when its due

I Didn't have a clue that not having washers for Xenons was an MOT failure, better check mine work! How come so many people blank the off then?

OP, if you've got leather on your seats, it's a cup-packed 182 of some description. Either the spoiler kit and/or the suspension

Have you got grey wheels? Yes = Cup suspension
Have you got a bigger than normal rear spoiler? Yes = Cup spoiler pack

As much as the washers may not be smooth, don't delete them entirely, maybe get the smaller megane ones, but come MOT time, don't give a garage any excuses.

does any 1 have a picture of the megane ones or a link to where i can see them, even better if some1 has a pic of them on a clio. i searched but couldnt realy tell wich one wer from the megane. also wers best to get them?? il probably just try a breakers, also what are they like to fit? are they a str8 swap? cheers
