What Battery Size....

im looking to get a new battery for my clio 1.2 as the one ive got dies out to easily with my subs running off it.

im just wondering on what size i need to get, the one in there is 43ah and im looking to spend about £30 on one so dnt want anything fancy just want an uprated one.

just get the next cars model.

I think the 1.2 16v has a 063 battery in it.

If you get an 065 (172 batt) you will be fine.

my mates have all got 43ah and they have got 1.4s.

what would you say would be enough then, dont want to buy a better battery and then have the same problems.

well by going up to the next battery all the figures for the batter will be better ie. uprated !

me and fred picked ours up for £29 iirc My DVD player lasts much longer with the sub on etc..

ah= amp hours

in other words the higher the number the better. ive not had a prob with mine going dead running a 1kW current hungry amp and the standard batt since 2002 but i dont run it with the enigine off

that my problem exactly.

i know the higher the better but im just wondering how high do i have to go to stop it from happening and so that it works alrite in my car, dnt wanna get one 2 big or 2 small lol.

Like i said mate the 065 battery from the 172 and DCi is just what you need.

You dotn want to be goign any higher. IIRC the ah is almost double that of the standard 1.2 battery.

Plus you dotn want to be runnign the battery flat all the time. Make sure you start up the car if ur running lots of power of it

only time you would really want to run a stereo with the engine nut running is in a car park so my advice STOP GOING TO CAR PARKS!!!!!

i dont think it would be double

60ah batt will only supply 720w for one hour.

the only way to stop it from happening is to put in a split charge

yellow top optima batt is only 55ah

i dnt want it to stop happening but i dnt want to be sat in waiting for sumone listening to my music with my engine off and then going to start my engine but the battery is flat lol.

dnt really sit up car parks, more show like events lol.
