what brake fluid for my 182?



  K20 EG Hatch
what brake fluid shall I use with my goodridge hoses, greenstuff pads and brembo max discs?

the garage has said get dot4 but I'm sure I heard somewhere not to use this :s

i asked this before mate and i heard the dot is the best castrol super somthing is supposed to be best but it aint cheap..i am going to get the comma dot 4fluid currently on ebay at a very cheap price and i have heard good things about it

Use DOT4 (polyethylene glycol-based fluid)

Not DOT5 (Silicone based)

You get what you pay for, more you spend the better it will perform (generally)
 
Renault stuff is actually very good doesn't last long with hardenered pads but its fine for most people uses ever.

The castrol super dot 4 response is the stuff I'd recomend £11 or so. Halfords used to sell it Demon Tweeks do it now.

castrol response super dot 4 unless you going to do serious track work then would recommend castrol SRF

had it done and what a difference! pedal now feels solid!

I bought a 1L bottle and the garage used about three quarters of it at the most.....
