Thinking of uprating my brakes all round on my valver any ideas on whats best haven't got a clue on how much to spend don't particularly want to spend more than £500 for everything inc fitting

Depends what you want really, performance or looks
The best value setup is probs Brembo max discs 259mm (standard size) with some good pads. They will set you back about £100 for the front discs and pads
For £500 you could probs source some beefy looking 4 pots and big discs depending on what size wheels you're running

Bit of both really performance ideally though, running standard ph2 alloys at the mo. Is brembo the better make to go for? When just changing discs and pads should i get calipers at the same time?
Willwoods or any designed 4 pots are great but they are expensive also you realy want dust sealed so thats about £500 all in.
Much better value are some
new disks (just normal ones are more than enough) £40~£60
new braided lines £50 or so
New caliper (99.9% of phase 2's use them) or rebuilt ones from your car £30~£70
new fluid and bleed the braking circuit £10
New pads ds2500's are fine for most £65 or so
Thats about £220 or so which is a fair saving over 4 pots. Not quite the same as 4 pots with dust sealed don't look as cool don't have anywhere near the same feeling but its a saving.
If it were my £400 money I'd go with the above and spedn the rest on other stuff holidays etc I spend money on mine as I had nothing better to spend it on/waste (sorry invest) and I loved them if I had the money I'd do it again but only if you cannot think of anything realy better you'd want.
