It looked amazing on the back of a trailer, it was all race prepped and sticker-ed up, and i thought that couldn't be a Renault, but it was

These were on sale a couple of years before the 172 iirc.

looking at that photo, you can see where the Mk2 clios design come from, and also the V6, there are a lot of design aspects in there that Renault carried across to the newer models

I still like them, most are still around 15k upwards, there aren't many in the UK.

They went back as early as 1996, came with the F7R out the willy, though a few had head problems due to owners bouncing them of fthe 7100 rpm higher rev limit IIRC

Nippy, but too heavy to be quick, a lightly tuned 172 would keep with one without breaking a sweat
