What Clio's have people owned?

Just a general thread now, I tend to always have a bog standard diesel for a daily currently (Audi A4 S-line TDI 2008) But now I have owned a few Clio's it all started when a few lads I worked with at maplin's both had one, I got a 1.2 Black extreme when I was 18, Now I have owned a 182FF Arctic, 172 Monaco and currently 182FF BG but how many other people has had a few Clio's and not been able to stay away from them? Before I bought this one me and my partner was going to buy a Astra VXR but I couldn't resist a Clio again? Is anyone else a Clio addict?

Me and my partner would love to try a 197/200 I am just not sure if it will be like my 172/182's I have owned !

I'm on my 6th clio, 5th renaultsport. Had a 182 trophy, 200w/cup, Ph1 172, V6 255 and another Trophy. Love 'em

ETA - my 6th was a 1.2 Mk1 rn that I had when I passed my test

3x 172's (2 was nails and died almost same day!)

I always get asked why I like Clios and it's just that you cannot beat their bang for buck.

Now I'm trying to move away from them though as I was a hassle free car ownership. I was looking at BMW's but everything that goes wrong is a trip to the dealer which is the most off putting thing ever. With a Clio it's 2 minutes in the car with the laptop.

Totally agree, best part of £1-2k gets you a bloody quick car! on reasonable miles !

I struggle to mention a car which handles better, is that quick, still returns decent mpg and has cheap parts for that price!

I'd never buy one new though because the depreciation is unreal.

We paid £12,500 for the A4 on 52,000 miles about three months ago, we looked at the brand new Clio 200 1.6 turbo auto ? thats just pussy tackle sorry but Auto ?? where is fun in that and decent MPG .... shall i put my hero 3 on my steering wheel haha i return about 11mpg !

11mpg that's chicken oriental. Audi will hold it's money well! Not on topic but all the 318ds I'm looking at have nearly 100k on which is very annoying and I know the prices will hardly shift.

Trophy has been the best car I've owned hands down, I'll maybe try out a 200 at some point.

One, owned it for the last 7 years, it's generally reliable, modified enough to make it reasonably quick for a daily,
in my mind there's no point in getting rid of it because i'd only want another one,
so I might as well stick with this one and keep it maintained and serviced.

The reason people have had so many is they get bored, sell it, realise they miss it, buy another one, get bored, sell it, rinse and repeat,
might as well just stick with the first one that's reliable and keep it.

Then i went a bit dark and got a 1.2 clio after i did this to the poor Williams (no 1.2 clio pics not worth the memory on the phone)

There has then been a very long gap after that until November last year when i Got my Clio 182 This is part of my current fleet of this and My 1992 Jaguar XJS

The clio tends to be my 'inbetween cars car' where I haven't quite decided what I want next, then I ended up getting attached to them.
My 182 for example was just meant to be for a couple of months until I got settled money wise again...I still have it 15 months later.

People ask why I keep getting Clios. My reason is that you get a great amount of car for the money. Not so much with the expression models but I traveled to a FCS event in one and saw a load of renaultsport models. I caught the bug.
