front and rears are adjustable from 40mm to around the 80mm mark. god knows what they're called but theres two 'nuts' on the suspensions thread that you simply wind up or down and then lock them off against each other.

the ride is firm, but its far from uncomfortable - but for the money you pay the handling is amazing. without doubt the best money i ever spent on my car.

FK Highsports here too, though on a 172. Nice and comfortable at low speeds but not too harsh at higher speeds, and takes all speed bumps fine. Handling is great as well as looks:

75mm on the rear, roughly 60/65mm on the front. No rubbage, arch liners still in but with a small bit cut off each near the wheel arch that was catching on the tyre.

Not overly hard to fit yourself either if you have the time.

only 75mm, u pussy ;) seriously though, on 80mm i've had no problems with speed bumps, pot holes or anything so skys the limit with em really :)

Don't you mean the ground's the limit :clown:

Jokes aside - I spent too long deciding what to lower my car with

Ended up ordering the FK Highsport coilovers on a deal I could hardly refuse :approve: can't wait to get them now!

*******
Car looks sweet Middo, hope you get that bump sorted soon

:approve: I wonder who's car that would be...

When comming out of driveways and some junctions -
how does the car body behave on the FKs ?

On standard ride height/setup my front bumper can almost brush the floor in some situations

my splitter is probably only 2 inches max, and i cant get onto normal ramps at the local garage. never catches during normal driving or in the multistorey, however it did when i had my larger splitter on which was about 5inches deep.

got any close up pics of your current/old splitter ?

I have heard the "suspension travel" is reduced with a better setup so the car body won't rock about as much on bumps/dips in the road

Mine is all the way down at the back with only one 'winder' left on, so they are as far down as they will go without removing that. I measured it at 75mm.

I had trouble getting on the ramps on my recent MOT. The front bumper only just missed on it's way up the ramp, and almost hit the floor when they dropped it into the wheel spinner thingy. And I haven't even fitted a splitter

If people are getting coilovers I'd suggest winding the front up when you take it into garages!

Yea think thats what il do too, plus on the entrance to the industrial estate where i work there is a ridiculously high speed bump so might have to lower it to suit that lol.

does it take long if u want to just make it higher say 15mm for takin it to garage or something??

you have to jack it up, remove the wheel, and then adjust the height. so its not a massive job. haven't got any pics of the splitter, its just a seat ibiza cupra one cut in half and then trimmed down tonnes on the edges.

toyota corolla - give me some credit LMAO

  RenaultSport Clio 172 Mk2
You don't have to remove the wheel if you don't want to. You can reach through to the strut between the arch and tyre once it's jacked up. As long as you mark on the thread where you are happy with it, you can easily get it back down to the exact same height afterwards.

Do you find you need to use 2 jacks?

The trolley jack I got from Halfords doesn't fit under the front of the sills but does at the back, so I have to use another one at the back to lift the front up high enough to get mine under!! A right pain.

i cant get my standard trolley jack under the car, so i simply drive the car onto some conveniently sized pieces of timber ive got to give me enough clearance. i know that fred drove it onto some old brake discs which worked a bit better :)

I have the same problem lol. I use a crappy old vauxhall jack to lift the body slightly, and then use the trolley jack. Starting to get used to it now!

  RenaultSport Clio 172 Mk2
I did used to use my Renault jack but that broke not suprisingly.

Good idea about the timber. There's plenty knocking around at work.

As Middo said, FKs are the best for the price you have stated!

When you are ready to order, just give us a shout and we will be happy to help :)
