I love the infinity stuff, although the last kappa stuff I had was two 10" blue coned kappa subs fed by a alpine v12 amp. That was an awesome set up 7 years ago!

I've got the cheaper Infinity Reference 5010CS components and there brilliant as far as i'm concerned, would imagine they'll be better still.

the infinitys are 2 ohm so you need a 2ohm stable amp, if you are spending that amouth buy DLS R5As which are a straight swap for the exisitng ones, they are of a higher quality then the infinitys about the same if not slightly warmer than the rainbows and you can get them for £150.

Second hand i will ahve a look, are you prepared to do little work to make them fit?

Steven, i'm pushed for time and pissing about with fitment is a problem. I have a genesis profile 4 amp, will this suffice??????

I didn't think the R5A's were that much as I got a brand sew set of MS6's for £140.

ps I do recommend the DLS's

yeah, they aren't as basey as some, but for clarity and dynamics theyre damn good, and for £115 definately!

after 10plus yrs at various racetracks around the world. My hearing's actually s**t....How do these differ to the likes of the old infinity's! I don't see that they can be any better, to the human ear that is?

hi mate

if not time for fitment 2 choices

1 dls R5As great speaker and a straight fit, available from prestige audio

2 the rainbows - again great quality and a straight fit.

The offer for the infinitys seems to have dissapeared, your Profile 4 can operate at 2 ohm no probs iirc will have to double check

yes your profile 4 can run at 2 ohms per channel you get 4 x 70 Genesis RMS so it would be 4x100 in real world terms.

the differences in sound can be starltling i had some JL audio VR600cs s They were £280 new and sounded worse than my £160 DLS R6As far worse!

There advertised for 60£ now....Mite just get them. If you reckon there decent.

for £60 you can't go wrong at all tbh. they are normally £90 in the shops.

Invest £20 on sound deadoning as well that will make a huge difference

I've just bought infinity 5000cs for the front, and infinity 5002i for the rear. Don't know where to mount the crossovers, coz I dont want to remove the dash. Was thinking the door pocket? Anyone ever done this?

under your dash secured with double sided sticky tape works for me :)

Ali ! If you want to save weight you can buy light weight speakers :)

Or just dont eat so much pizza !
