What discount can I get on renault parts?

There's a post ages ago about this but I can't find it...

Basically, each renault part starts with a number. This number corresponds to what mark up they have to play with if they do discount.

eg: 6xxx... = 15%
7xx... = 10%

or whatever.

Can someone who works for renault confirm which discounts apply to which numbers??? Matt Black maybe?

STOCK RATE

01 = 50%

02 = 45%

03 = 40%

04 = 35%

05 = 30%

06 = 25%

07 = 20%

This code applies to dealers only - for example if they retail a part at £40 and its a discount code 02 - this means the dealer pays £40 - 45% discount = £22 for the part. So there is quite a bit of profit to be made - depending on if you are in the trade the discount on a £40 part will varey from 10% - 25% depending on how much you spend with them.


VOR ( vehicle off road ) URGENT 24hr DELIVERY

01 = 44%

02 = 39%

03 = 34%

04 = 29%

05 = 24%

06 = 19%

07 = 14%

VOR means the part is required urgently so the discount isnt as great - they can order the part for an AM delivery the following day providing it is urgent. Most dealers dont like doing this as they dont make so much profit - if they do order the part they will cut your discount to compensate for it

I usually say "Can you do any discount on that?" Sometimes yes, sometimes no. The other way is to be in the trade

Ring up the trade line and tell them your a bodyshop - make up a name like "williams body repairs" or something - give them your home address if they ask for it - that should entitle you to trade discount - dont go all shy though on the front counter are you will get f**ked off by the partsman
