Yeah its just before the cat so it should be there. Can you see the wiring loom for it anywhere??

  Clio Dynamique 1.4 16V
it could be that the person that had the car before your fitted a flamer kit to the exhaust to which uses a spark plug like that to ignite the exhaust fumes.

oh i didn't realize it was before the cat. yeh prob pikey job them. plug ur computer in and see if it brings up any errors

  BMW M135i
LOL! Thats the winner for the pikeyiest blank i've ever seen! If they've done that I wouldn't be surprised if they've killed/took the bulb out of the engine warning light, they're should be a lambda loom around there somewhere.

you'll be able to buy the sensor (they're not cheap, usually) but doubtful with the wiring. can't see one in the 'photo but the wiring could be hiding ontop of the heat shield - need to have a hunt around for it

great...how expensive we talking......is it worth it?

if i didnt sort it all out what are the conciquences??????(spelling)

sorry, wouldn't like to guess - you could have a look on the Euro Car Parts or German Swedish French sites and probably gain an idea from there

  clio 1.4RT
well ive got that stupid spark plug out now....(1st pic(

but ive had anothe look and it seems that the lambda sensor for my car is right at the very top of the exhaust near the maniflod (2nd+3rd pic)

i always understood it was near the cat???

It's a flamer kit guys. The previous owner(s) must have fitted it.

You remap or trick the engine to run rich and then ignite the unburnt fuel in the exhaust.

Interesting history ;)

  Mondeo TDCI 130
99% sure the truth is, someone has fit a non gen aftermarket downpipe, they often come with different lambda locations, and they have improvised a blank for the bottom.

Doing no harm what so ever, yes its not ideal, but you never see it, does its job so no worry!

Flamer kit? before the cat, that would work, like a handbrake on a canoe.
