What do you think about BMW motorcycles?

I am quite tempted at getting an old K100 over the winter.
My dad has just bought a K1 and it could be cool to go on trips with him.
I guess it could be a quite fun project, i would like it to look like this:

Have anyone got any experience with these bikes?

Never even thought of BMW bikes tbh...

bmw do nice touring bikes but there are better bikes out there for your money imo
my boss has had a few and never shuts up about them lol
