Hey guys,

Was having a convo with some friends the other day about cars and what they have spent on them, Which got me thinking...

Not including the price of buying it.......

.....How much does your Clio owe you? How much have you splashed into it for your mods?

For me personally, its ~£420, so not much.


Would be good to see how much gets spent on cars these days.

Mods - None as its a 197 so its in warranty and I don't want to mess with it yet.

However, its had a wheel curbed and sorted £60

Another wheel has been curbed annoyingly £60

Vandals took my door badges - cost of replacements - £50

Car Park Ding and because of the placement of it it cant be a paintless dent removal job. - £150 for something the size of a 20p

RS Mats - £45

RS Steering Wheel Trim £15

The pistonheads garage allows you to keep a very accurate track of your costs, not sure whether thats a good thing or not though

ive kept a spreadsheet on my cars details, it shows every penny that ive ever spent on the car, anything thats been sold from it, who it was sold to, how much for, where things were bought from and how much, when they were fitted, and all mileages at the time.

so far the tally is sat at £9780. That includes buying the car for £5000. So total spend is £4780! that includes every thing you can think of, oil filters to ITB's

Only thing that doesnt include is any insurance costs. Tax is included however, and MOT's

£70 : Exhaust fixed by Renault and fitted properly.

£130 : Respray and filled.
