What Engine oil/plugs to use

Hi all my Trophy is due a service soon and just wounding what 5w 40w engine oil your using and what plugs? Also the Trophy is in 68k would you recommend changing the gearbox oil? Cheers Steve

Nothing wrong with the Elf oil from Renault, and it's usually a good price online.
RE the gearbox, it's up to you - it would probably benefit from a change though.

just speak to Paul @ RDP (he's able to post fluids again now) for everything and yes i'd do the box oil if its not been done before, its cheap and easy to do

What's happened to Renault Parts Direct? I thought they were a trader on here but I can't see them in the traders section.

I use the Elf Evolution 900 SXR 5W-40 (the standard oil for the car), as said above it's actually quite cheap.

As for box oil, there is the standard Elf NFJ 75W-80. You can use the Redline stuff if you do a lot of track work etc or don't want to change it as frequently.
