What engine oil?

I have just had my a full service on my car last week but not sure if they put the right oil in because the tappets are making a bit of noise (which never happaned before) He said he put 0-30w fully synthetic oil is that the right one?

i believe 5 w40 is the stuff you need if its a 172, sure someone else will confirm this

For the Uk climate it is a bit yep.

5-40 or 10-40 is fine for the Uk climate its whats allowed under the spec.

5w 40 is best at the moment , make is how much you feel thereafter ....silkolene is a good oil though

Its might do.

Some oils don't seem to like the F4R engine for no apparent reason
