as the title says what do you use??

thats the expansion tank, so a mixture of water and antifreeze.... why do you ask as i would be quite worried if that was empty which it looks to be below the min mark.

its about 1mm below the min just noticed this morning , i fort it was water and antifreeze but was not 100%

off to the garage to look for anti freeze

Top it up and keep an eye on it, you will find it will fluctuate (sp?) between min and max normally as the water circulates the engine, but should never go below min.

Bear in mind you are only meant to top it up with the same grade/type of coolant already in there.

really why would it matter?

any way ive used holts antifreeze methanol free, corrosion inhibitor and summer coolant concentrate , protects against freezing, corrosion and overheating , suitable for petrol and diesel engines. bs 6580 standards

not gonna lose any sleep over it

I wouldn't either, Im forever topping up cars fluid levels (My last two company cars where brand new golfs which i did near 100k in each) as they where good old company cars I only ever used water to top them up lol..... 100k later all run sweet. :clown:

It a mixture of anti freeze anti corrossion and water. For a week i had to fill it up every 2 days!!! My radiator was leaking . luckily it wasn't my head gasket!
