I'm about to fit braided lines to my Ph1 Track Car.

Current set up is good old Brembo HC with DS2500 (looking to change to DS3000 in the near future)

What is the real difference between dot4 and dot5.1?

Is it silly not to just go for 5.1??

I'm not 100% but think the DOT 5 needs changing a lot more regularly.

Its a weekend/track car so does limited mileage. As long as it wouldn't need done every month that wouldn't be a problem!

don't use DOT5 ^^^ its Silicone based and is not to be used unless spesified. Dot 5.1 it mate - has a higher boiling point, which will be of benefit on a track car.

Use motul RBF600 if on track. Never managed to boil it yet and I've been trying hard .
