What happened with to my paint?

Slight issue with the last of my wheels. When i was refurbing it this happened.

The paint has dried darker in some areas and as you can see the colour match is well off. But its the same paint(colour/brand etc). The one thing i did notice is the 3rd can(what caused this) had a different smell to it.

sometimes it can just be a dodgy can, quite unusual though

tbh took me a few minutes to work out what the problem was! I wouldn't be bothered by it

I am bothered by it as im spraying to sell, in good nick they will fetch £400+ on ebay.

it looks like you have sprayed to much in that area of either paint or laquer, and as you spray to much onto it, the paint builds up, and especially in places were there is a bend or change in the surface shape, therfore thats why it looks like that.

+1 you have sprayed it too much. Did you wait for the coats to dry before applying another coat?

Yeh, a day between coats. As i said the others are fine, just this 1, no different technique to spray it used so im baffled.
I think i might get another can and give that a go, see if it was a dodgy batch.

where did you get the paint from, was it a place in colchester

seriously mate, you cant tell. once they are on the the car, you will never notice that.
