Just changed my rear shocks and springs and my car looks like a tractor. What have I done wrong?
I lined the springs up with the grooves in the spring mounts from the old springs, I checked the spring mounts were seated properly, but this doesn't look right 🤔

Question about the front shocks now...

I don't have a 21mm offset spanner, can I just blast the top mount off with an impact wrench? Or do I need to go back to Halfords for the 3rd time today?

Aye razz the c**t off

In your case, hit it with your handbag a few times first to make sure it knows who wears the trousers in this house!

One side out. Might just buy a pushbike. Anyone want to buy a lopsided Clio?

Renew that bumpstop/dust cover before fitting. Give the shocker a tug
I get that the shock is compressed at the moment, but do I really have to reuse that grotty dust cover?! I kind of assumed that they'd be included 😐

Yep you need the dustcover as its got the bumpstop in it, which is secondary damping on stock shocks/lowered springs, its not included with the shock. Febi do aftermarket replacements which are ok and cheap, i wouldnt refit that one its knackered.

Right, in which case I'll get some ordered. May as well go genuine though as everything else has been so far.
