Two of the previous owners actually fitted private plates, presumably as they were too embarrassed to drive around with that standard one.

Then again one of the previous owners fitted 17" wheels to it, so I think the plate probably suited him

Update: Went outside to change the oil today. Saw how little space there is around the oil filter and decided I'd rather be doing literally anything else so I went back inside.

Take the fuel rail guard off, it's a doddle to do and it'll make life much easier for removing the filter.

I'm trying to decide if I should go to Halfords and buy some deep sockets, or wait for my daughter to come home from school and see if her hands are small enough

I find using a normal sized socket and one of these bendy knuckles gives you enough reach to get in to the nuts.

Managed to drain the oil, ended up doing it through the little hole in the sump guard because one of the bolts holding it on wouldn't come out. Now it's time to open the package that arrived on Tuesday and check if I've got the correct oil and filter

Hand tight, 25Nm i think.

Do what I did. Ripped the injector cables trying to take the oil filter off. Then fuel pissed everywhere out of the fuel rail after.

Touch wood I managed to do it without cocking anything up. And only a couple of spots of oil ended up on the driveway
Also had a good bit of news, I was planning on fitting a powerflex dogbone mount, but when I was under the car trying to remove the sump guard I noticed it's already got one! Saves me a job

Yeah I have. Cost me £17 for some new deep sockets to remove the fuel rail guard, but other than the crippling financial pain it went pretty well

I snapped an injector plug off when removing the oil filter on my old Kangoo, your not alone there

Mines been running on filippo berio for years with no issues. It smells like olives on a warm day. It’s quite delightful to be honest

Just remember to put the bearings the right way round on the top mounts when putting it back together.

I learnt the hard way.
