Finally got the wheel bearing changed!!! Great tip I saw on here is to have both wheels off the ground to attach the suspension! It made it a 30min job instead of a fight with it lol

Pulled out the seats and gave it a bloody good Hoover!!

How did you do that if you don't mind me asking - did you jack it up and go underneath or is there another, easier way? Mine needs doing like nothing else, it's grim!

Also, in the last week I've passed 2 milestones - 10k miles since I bought it (From 38870 on the clock to 48870 miles since November) and clocked over 50k, with 1100 miles done in around 2 weeks (!) with work. Bloody Domino's are going to kill my car at this rate.

Remove the plastic trim either side of seat. Undo two gold nuts outside and three gold nuts inside near handbrake. Seat can be lifted out just be careful of the wiring underneath. I find leaning the seat back onto the rear seats was enough.

As above. Mine is a mk3 so the bolts are inside the car.

On a mk2 look underneath and you will see 2 black caps, pull them out and there's a bolt inside each. Them go to the exhaust shield there's 2 holes with bolts in each. Undo all of them.
In the car tip the entire seat back to undo the wires then lift out.

What dajones has suggested will remove the runners too.

What I have suggested takes the seats off the runners but leaves the runners bolted to the car. This does not require getting under the car to unbolt anything.

Thank you, will give it a go. Can't be arsed getting underneath as it means going to my uncle's garage and borrowing his car lift just to hoover it out!

Disconnecting the battery I assume is advised as well, so I don't blow my own fingers off?

If you plan to properly remove the seats you'll need to unplug the wiring so unwire the battery yeah. I don't bother, all I do is lean the seat back onto the rears which saves you having to undo the battery.

Drove the car in an exuberant manner after doing the track rod ends, front wheel bearing and wheel alignment. It is a totally different car. Plus a lot quieter!!!!

Replaced my drivers side window regulator this evening. Bit of a pain in the arse but not the worse job I've done on a Clio.

Took it for a good run out even though with knackered air con I was sweating like a pig. Had some fun on twisties and gave it a bit of a kick on the motorway. Fun times, man.

Added some black badge covers, really easy 5 minute job. Just need to remove the Clio badge and maybe the RS badge now.

Never really understood the black badge thing... but I'd remove the Clio and keep the RS badge - makes the rear much cleaner.
I think they look nice on mine because everything is either black or white on it already, apart from the wheels. I thought for £20 I'd try them, if I don't like them I can take them off easily enough.

Got the car MoT tested today - passed
Cleaned the car. And started to treat the inside of my sills as they are going rusty. Gobbed some Kurust on it. But the only tin of paint I have is bright orange and I don't really fancy buying another! So I may have bright orange bits where the rear door cars go........
