New thermostat (old one was oozing) scrubbing the crusty old coolant off everything took far longer than actually fitting it:

Then I had a drive to Canvey island and bought some beautiful new wheels:

I took it for a drive, which is rare, and I instantly wish I didn't.
Running like a bag of w**k, again, and I don't know why.

Finally got the sump gasket replaced / resealed, new sparks and coils.
Car is running lovely, but I need to now replace the suspension back to Bilstein from the coilovers in preparation to sell.
Nobody's buying it after driving it with the current suspension 😂

Productive day today.

Prevent the jacking points from getting completely flattened like I did with my last Cup. Some people have no issue but one of mine was mullered so bent it back into shape bit of cu-rust, hammerite and put some reinforcements in there.

Do you have the dimensions of what you used for bracing the sills mate?

I replaced the O rings on the MAP and intake sensor, plus gave them a squirt of carb cleaner. Might just be the sudden drop in air temperature, but the car feels a bit sharper now

During the recent MOT, the driver's side braided brake line burst on the brake efficiency test!

They're Goodridge lines which have been on the car since i've owned it, so they must be 12+ years old.

The rubber sleeve over the crimp looks to have been hiding some damage, otherwise i'd have spotted it sooner.

Check your lines if you have the older style with that rubber sleeve 😅

Fitted a new battery, it’s had a few moments where it didn’t want to start in the last few months so I’ve thrown one on for peace of mind.

I've had one jack point and the rear sill repaired.
Before (no pictures of the folded over jack point, but you've seen those before):

And after:

Now to cover them with all the protection I can get my hands on and fill the cavities with wax.
Anyone know what size/type of rivet I need to put the side skirt clips back on?

Sunroof has been leaking on my RSI, i had removed it, ran a nice tidy bead of sealant where the original seal was, didn't work so I've choose to just keep it out the rain for now :ROFLMAO:

But now the one has started leaking on my daily smoker, this was not getting messed about with, full tube of silicon on the c**t, I will not have a wet head tomorrow!!!

Hope that works for you, mine used to spill on my lap when I came to a hard stop, turned out it was the inner seal.
