What Headunit??

Car  02 Clio Extreme
Will hopefully be buying a headunit after Christmas..

As some of you already know i've been looking at the 'flip screens' ones.
But what 'make' should i go for? and what features should i be looking for too?

Thankyou xxx

Cant really go wrong with Pioneer or Alpine

Aparently the Ripspeed one is made by Pioneer too and is only £299 in Halfrauds or slightly cheaper on ebay

Hooky108 is selling the JVC avx1 and 2's which look impressive

I have a JVC AVX1. It's quite swish, but i wish i had paid extra now and got one of the large screen motorised ones.

There were a few stands at various motor shows i been to and you can get single DIN motorised 7" LCD screen stereos from less than £200.

Don't know what these lesser brands would be like compared to the likes of Pioneer etc

alpine or pioneer would be my choice especially for an indash screen at the moment you can pick up the avh p5700dvd for around £490 thats cheap rrp is £800 check out www.caraudiosecurity.com i cant be bothered going through specs;)

Check out the Alpine D310 if you want a good one with a flip-out screen :)

I'll get a pic up when I get my car back lol

i used to have kenwoods but never managed to get them set up as they were to high pitched for me and they didn't control the sub very well.. borrowed a mates pioneer and it was pukka and i managed to get a very nice set up with it..

his car sounded better than mine with a simple sub & standard speakers, than mine did with a sub, componants, and the ever so chav 6 by 9's.. after that i binned the kenny and i've never bought another, got all my mates onto them as its just to good for the money..

i currently run the head unit with the standard renault 5 paper cones and an alpine 1000w sub with a sony amp, and its fantastic.. better then when i had all these aftermarket speakers that never fit the doors/collers very well..

alpine are good to :D
