What is that under my headlight?

On my 182 under the headlight Ive got a plastic thing ( cant think of what to call it). on other 182s that I have seen there are just flat bits of plastic. What the hell is it??

lol... we are, but its just that it (in my opinion) its pretty obvious... tons of cars have washers there and there is a slit where water comes out.

To answer a less obvious question, you activate it when you have your lights on and spray with windscreen... it sprays the lights a few seconds later it you hold it a wee while.
