What is the spare connection??

Hello all.

Ive got a ph2 clio 1.2 16v. was cleaning the engine bay and round this connection. Not plugged in around the back of the engine and the bottom near the steering rack.

Just wondering what it is for and if it should be plugged in, its funning fine ect.
