What is the throttle pedal position?

Car  172 Phase II
Now and then getting a fault saying:

Code: DF0009, DF0126, DF0198
Description: Throttle pedal position track 2 input

I can guess what the TPP is but what would correspond to track 2?

Like to get rid of this error that sometimes puts the car in safety mode or whatever that's called..

Its the potentiometer (sp??) inside the throttle pedal. It has two of them, one reads 0-100 and the other reads 100-0 (in %) The ECU reads both to make sure its correct and gives you power. Replace the throttle pedal to fix it!

You make it sound very convincing. Think I'll have to put another pedal on my todo list then!

Having two tracks on the pedal potentiometer acts as a fail safe, Because its safety related.

It's always comparing the two tracks to look for deviations in the two voltages. If there is, it will throw it into limp mode.

Not always, as i found out when mine went.
i had 2 throttle positions, 0 and 100, made for an interesting drive home!
