The red filter is called an induction kit, basically it replaces the standard air box which is quiet and enviroment friendly and gives the car a nice grumble under acceleration. This roar sound is the air passing through the filter which can be suprisingly loud.
Ignore the comments about power and torque, they come from people who think they know alot more about cars then they really do, lets be honest, its a clio, torque doesn't really come into it.
These kits are good if you want your car to sound the business as well as look it.
Hope this helps.

The times in the hot afternoon on average were about half a second slower than in the morning when it was a lot cooler outside and in the engine bay. At Clio speeds this works out at about a cars length at the end of the quater mile.
It might not make a huge difference, but motorsport is lost and won on tenths of seconds.
Just for the record my afternon reaction times were actually quicker than the morning and I was running with a semi enclosed Hill Power IK.

biojo said:a maxogen is a 300 quid or somet closed induction kit , like a viper , personally id got with the viper as its cheaper and just as good , infact others would recomend it.
ITG panel filter , is a direct replacement for the standard air filter , basically a flat piece filter , that goes in the normal air box
