what is this?!

hello all. I decided the car needed a good clean today when i found this part near the edge of the engine bay. does anyone know where it came from?



And it was wedged right in the corner where the bonnet meets the car

Looks like an exhaust manifold bolt bit to me ? could be wrong

Look at your pic of scuttle panel. There is a hole where a plastic bolt should go...that might be what is in your hand...have you checked it???

yeah you do have a clip missing there so someone might of put that there to replace it

Possibly, nothing rattles or sits out of place so I'm not too worried about it......yet

Looks like the exhaust camshaft stud. Did you have a timing belt change recently?
